Application - Rigid Polyurethane foams

Rigid Polyurethane foams

Rigid polyurethane foam (PUF) is one of the most efficient, high performance insulation material, enabling very effective energy savings with minimal occupation of space.
Rigid PUF is widely used in construction, packaging and refrigeration, where its superior long-term insulation properties and good dimensional stability offer many benefits. Although the low thermal conductivity is the most important quality of rigid PUF, other important features include adhesion to facing materials and excellent mechanical strength at low density.
In many applications low flammability of the foam is essential for public safety and is often a statutory requirement.
ICL-IP offers a comprehensive list of flame retardants for the various rigid PUF applications.
FyrolTM 6 is a reactive hal-free FR.
FyrolTM PCF is widely used for laminate roofing and spray formulations.
SaFRon®  6605 has an optimal combination between functionality, reactivity and viscosity that makes it suitable for use in systems and pre-blends for continuous production of insulation panels and laminates, as well as discontinuous productions of blocks and panels, and also for spray coating applications, pour-in-place systems and components adhesive systems with one or more components.

VeriQuel R100 is a very good TCPP replacement, and is designed for use in PIR roof and wall insulation, closed cell spray foam insulation, and rigid polyurethane foam.
